Jim started his career in 1974, as a practicing attorney in the State of Michigan. Thirteen years later, he left his legal practice to join the Acme Group as its CEO. For over 40 years, he has served on numerous company and charitable boards. In his free time, Jim enjoys being with his kids and grandchild. Jim graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in economics in 1971. In 1974, he got his J.D. from the University of Detroit Law School.
Ray joined the Acme Group in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the Acme Group, Ray held multiple financial and accounting roles including Controller of the Wayne County Airport Authority, Finance Director and Treasurer of a local municipality and staff accountant at Plante Moran. Ray is Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has consistently demonstrated financial integrity, cost containment and establishing structural improvements that foster growth. Ray has vast experience in implementing and improving computer networks and software; accounting systems; financing and investing practices; and operational configurations.
Neil Gross joined the Acme Group in 1973 and currently serves as CEO of Acme Mills. Prior to joining Acme Mills Company, Neil served in the United States Air Force for four years. Neil has worked in the purchasing, manufacturing, and sales areas for Acme Mills. Neil received his Bachelor of Arts in Education and History from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Matt Utley is a well-established leader in the filtration, fluid handling, and environmental industry. His innovations and solutions are being utilized on a global scale with many Fortune 500 firms. From creating a textile that neutralizes harmful chemicals in medical laboratories, to a separation unit that saves industrial manufacturers millions in waste water, he is driven to continuously innovate and provide solutions for his partners. He has received the Environmental Achievement Award from the Environmental Management Association and is a senior member of the National Filtration Society. Studied Interdisciplinary Technology and Engineering at Eastern Michigan University and post graduate business administration at Lawrence Technological University.
Mike joined the Acme Group in 2011 and currently serves as President of Fairway Products. Prior to joining Fairway Products Mike’s background includes 25 years in the manufacturing environment and includes involvement in all aspects of manufacturing operations. Mike’s understanding of continuous improvement and customer service serves him well as it relates to actively participating with customers on their solution needs. Mike and his team persistently work to create an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement in order to enhance associates work experience while delivering maximum value to Fairway customers.
