Jim started his career in 1974, as a practicing attorney in the State of Michigan. Thirteen years later, he left his legal practice to join the Acme Group as its CEO. For over 40 years, he has served on numerous company and charitable boards. In his free time, Jim enjoys being with his kids and grandchild. Jim graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in economics in 1971. In 1974, he got his J.D. from the University of Detroit Law School.
Ray serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Acme Mills, leveraging over two decades of financial and operational leadership. Since joining the Acme Group in 2008, he has been instrumental in driving financial integrity, cost containment, and structural improvements that foster sustainable growth. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Ray has extensive experience in financial planning, investment strategies, and optimizing business systems, ensuring Acme Mills remains competitive in the industrial textiles industry.
Prior to Acme, Ray held key financial and accounting positions, including Controller of the Wayne County Airport Authority, Finance Director and Treasurer for a local municipality, and staff accountant at Plante Moran. His expertise in implementing and enhancing accounting systems, IT networks, and operational frameworks has streamlined business processes and strengthened financial performance. Ray earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wayne State University and remains committed to driving innovation, efficiency, and strategic growth at Acme Mills.

Matt Utley
President, Great Lakes Filters
Matt Utley is a well-established leader in the filtration, fluid handling, and environmental industry. His innovations and solutions are being utilized on a global scale with many Fortune 500 firms. From creating a textile that neutralizes harmful chemicals in medical laboratories, to a separation unit that saves industrial manufacturers millions in waste water, he is driven to continuously innovate and provide solutions for his partners. He has received the Environmental Achievement Award from the Environmental Management Association and is a senior member of the National Filtration Society. Studied Interdisciplinary Technology and Engineering at Eastern Michigan University and post graduate business administration at Lawrence Technological University.
Mike Richardson is an operations leader with over 35 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, currently serving as Director of Operations at the Acme Group since 2011. He has been instrumental in driving continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence by leveraging his expertise in leadership, team development, and lean manufacturing.
In his current role, Mike oversees operations at Acme Group, managing distribution, production, quality control, procurement, and customer service across multiple sites in Michigan. He collaborates with the leadership team to align production with sales goals while developing strategic growth initiatives and optimizing asset utilization. Known for his problem-solving abilities and effective communication, Mike continuously drives positive change and operational success. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, biking, and running, which keep him active and balanced.

Brett Nickoli
Corporate Controller
Brett joined the Acme Group in 2024 and currently serves as the Corporate Controller. Prior to joining the Acme Group, Brett worked at Dana Inc. and was the Plant Controller at several different manufacturing facilities in MI, TN, IN, and OH. Brett graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a BS in Accounting, and received his MBA from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN. Brett is experienced in cost management, systems integration, product costing, and financing.
With over 30 years of experience at Acme Mills, Genevieve Dobroczynski has played a key role in the company’s growth and customer relationships. She began her career in customer service, where she developed a deep understanding of client needs and the company’s product offerings. Her dedication and expertise led her into sales, where she built strong partnerships and drove business development.
Today, as Sales Manager, Genevieve oversees sales for all three divisions of Acme Mills, ensuring seamless operations, strategic growth, and exceptional service. Her leadership and industry knowledge continue to make a significant impact on the company’s success.
